(she/her)

Communications and Public Relations Manager

I am a trained journalist , writer and comms strategist from a tiny little island off the south coast of England who has somehow found herself on a much larger island now. I bring a core personal focus on trying to help the organisations doing the best things in the world to get the attention they deserve. As a queer, feminist woman I’m trying to carve a different way of doing PR, content and comms.

I started my career as a sports journalist, telling the people stories behind big sporting events. My career has taken me on a wild journey since: from working as a writer and editor at five Olympic and Paralympic Games, through to leading comms and PR for a favela advocacy charity in Brazil, or helping to launch a new domestic abuse charity.

In the past three years I left my corporate London creative agency head of content role, set up my own business and focused on only working with purpose-driven organisations. Now I’m overjoyed to find myself with HumanKind able to tell stories of the fabulous humans that make this space a community.

Whether you find me either at my desk typing away furiously, trying to get more regular with my yoga practice, at a Landcare Day taking in the big sky, or representing at Queer Yoga; I am so happy to be welcomed in here.
